Perfecting Your Craft

Well, there’s no such thing as a perfect design, or designer, but that does not mean you can’t travel on that road. Being apart of the design industry, there is constant pressure in coming up with new creative and innovative ideas. It’s apart of the job description. It is very important to keep up with the times, and always be working on improving your craft. If you aren’t constantly trying to better your skills then what is the point in being a designer, or any other job for that matter? If you are constantly trying, then how do you go about it? Internet Explorer 7 is Finally Here

Finally, we see the official release of IE7 hit the internet. Now, my first thoughts are that this is good, but the more I think about it and read other people’s opinions, the more it makes me wonder how good this really is. Now of course we are glad that Microsoft finally gets the idea that they need a more safe, standards driven engine under the hood. But will they keep at it? Keep reading →

The Downside of RSS Readers

For awhile now, I’ve been hearing lots of about different RSS readers, and reading different reviews of them. Up until this week, I have not given in to using them. The reader of choice ended up being the Google Reader. Creative Block

It happens to the best of us. One week, you are on a roll with designs, and you start getting more confidence in your skills, and then you hit a brick wall. Leaving Desktop Apps Behind

Right now the web is the best that it’s ever been, both with design and rich applications. ‘Web 2.0′ has forced people to use the web in a way that has been very efficient, and beneficial to its users. What’s even more interesting to me, is that within the past year, the amount of web apps that I use has doubled, leaving behind many desktop apps that no longer see the light of day. Keep reading →
